EVENT DESCRIPTION
Global movement of men and boys making a stand against male violence towards women and girls. It was founded by a group of pro-feminist men in London, Ontario in November 1991 as a response to the Ecole Polytechnique massacre of female students by Marc Lepine in 1989. A lot of effort on this day are geared towards ending violence towards women and girls with a central focus on gender violence prevention, which involves educating and coaching young adult men on issues about violence and gender equality.
