EVENT DESCRIPTION

Tuvalu is part of the Polynesian region of the pacific seas, situated midway between Hawaii and Australia. The Island was discovered by Polynesians who firstly inhabited it. Later, the British Empire discovered the Island and colonised the Island and its people. Tuvalu was finally free from British colonial rulership in 1978 under Commonwealth.
