EVENT DESCRIPTION

A day of celebrating the world's cultures from near and afar with participants from communities of Indonesians, Indians, Czech, Polish, Chinese, Cambodians, Koreans, Japanese, Pacific Islands, Maori, Greeks, Solomon Islands, Latin Americans and Filipinos amongst others. The event brings people together to celebrate cultural diversity by representation whilst inspiring younger generations in the Bay of Plenty. There are variety of foods from many cultural backgrounds; people adorn their traditional attire with accessories. There are dances, singing and other performances and people make an effort to welcome one another.
